Art presents us with a unique opportunity to observe, to notice, and to experience both ourselves and the reality around us. It conjures feelings that can’t be expressed in words, it illuminates truths that lie buried within us, and it reminds us that beauty remains even in the midst of pain, confusion, or the chaos of life. As I paint, I reflect on the world within me and the world around me. I use visual imagery to express what life is teaching me through personal experience, things I’m reading, poetry, music, and more. Each piece below is accompanied by an idea or inspiration.
